what other republicans are saying about chuck

"I proudly endorse Chuck Grimes as a candidate to continue as a member of the SEC! There is no one more deserving or qualified to represent Republicans on this important committee. I’ve known Chuck since he was born, with both his and my families living in Henderson County, Tennessee. He comes from a good family that established him with deep Christian values from an early age. Chuck has worked in multiple campaigns at all levels to help elect Republicans to office. His dedication to our conservative values has been remarkable. Chuck is a worker. This has been displayed many times through his leadership of College Republican and Young Republican groups and into his adult life. To those eligible to vote in the 21st District, I hope you will vote for this man who has the ability and willingness to serve for the good of all Republicans across Tennessee. The people of Henderson County are proud of our son and know you will be too if Chuck is given the opportunity to continue serving you on the State Executive Committee."

"Long before Republicans were a majority in the General Assembly, Chuck saw how critical each campaign was to put Republicans into leadership.  His work has been valuable to me and other Davidson County conservatives that seek to boldly carry our message in the often hostile ground of Davidson County.  His love of his family and community is a powerful example of our Republican values.  I was proud to welcome Chuck to the State Executive Committee last year and believe he brings a clear perspective to our State Party leadership."

“Prior to my election to the legislature in 2010, Rep. Beth Harwell was the only other Republican from Davidson County that had been elected to the State House in many years. A team of dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers with a passion for the Republican Party and what we represent was necessary to accomplish victory in a county that continues to be oppressed by liberal politics. They awakened the conservative voters in the 60th District and got them excited about going to the polls. Chuck, a Young Republican leader at the time, was one of those volunteers. He was vital to our successful campaign - a door-knocking machine, always focused on connecting with voters and constituents as personally as possible. As a legislative employee at that time, he very well could have treated his full-time job as sufficient service to our State and our Party. In that capacity, he did a lot to serve his fellow Tennesseans, as well. Chuck Grimes believes in going the extra mile whenever he can. Our Party, especially in Davidson County, needs more of Chuck's brand of enthusiasm, focus, and dedication to service. I am grateful for his service to my campaign and many others and am proud to see him stepping up to continue as the 21st District's State Executive Committeeman.”

-former Metro Councilman and District 60 State Representative Jim Gotto (R - Hermitage)

"In ten years on the SEC, I learned who does the work and who just wants a title. Chuck Grimes has done the hard work, leading with conservative values to help make the Tennessee Republican Party among the strongest in America.  In the legislature, in his volunteer work, and as a reliable member of the SEC, Chuck has proven himself and has earned our support."

-Mark Winslow, former District 19 State Executive Committeeman and TNGOP Executive Director, current District 21 resident

"For the nearly 20 years I have known Chuck Grimes, he has been the epitome of a good Republican. He not only represents the Party through endless hours of volunteering but also through living his life with Republican values. Whether he was organizing and campaigning for conservatives in the liberal hotbed of Memphis or he was working to ensure the smooth operation of the Republican Majority Leader’s office on Capitol Hill, Chuck put his heart and soul into ensuring Republican success. With decades of experience and service to the Party and pouring his blood, sweat, and tears into innumerable campaigns at the local, state, and national levels, Chuck is the perfect person to represent solid, conservative Tennesseans on the State Executive Committee. I know, as a public school administrator, father, and lifelong Tennessean and Republican, I am proud of the work he has done on the Committee and cannot wait to see what he does in the future, representing me and my values like he will all conservative Tennesseans."

-Dr. Andrew Jackson, Educator and School Administrator;

former East Tennessee Field Director, Ramsey for Governor Campaign

“Most people don’t know the structure of the Tennessee Republican Party, and what it takes to find candidates.  The Reader's Digest version is that each state senatorial district has two executive members (one male and one female).  It is the responsibility of the State Executive Committee member to find and recruit candidates to run for every partisan office in the state, and vote on the bylaws that govern the party.  The SEC members are also board members of the local parties such as the Davidson County Republican Party.  I have met no one more committed to this pursuit than Chuck Grimes.  That is why I am fully endorsing him as the Senate District 21 male committee member.  Chuck has been involved since my days as an official part of the party, and I know he will do an excellent job serving our community.”
